Project Overview SKEMA encompasses three mutually supporting components, namely a Knowledge Base system, Studies and a Thematic Network. Consolidation Studies will provide a coherent view of key aspects of Maritime Transport and Logistics, based on the challenges posed by the Commission’s Mid-Term Review. Periodic Studies will address areas of interest to DGTREN in a focussed and well-scoped manner. The Thematic Network will engage the maritime transport & logistics industry in the activities and outputs of SKEMA. The SKEMA Knowledge Base will make available to the maritime transport and logistics community the essential elements of the Consolidation & Periodic Studies in an attractive, easily comprehendible style, readily accessible through contextualisation of the information in subject-specific categories as specified in the SKEMA Subject Index and the SKEMA Policies Index.
